We booked one night at the Rixos Tersane hotel when we attended a wedding at the venue in November 2025. The hotel is located in a new build development with a new shopping mall next door and various other local developments. It is right on the Golden Horn and a very peaceful location. On arrival we had an excellent greeting from the staff and check in process. The hotel is built within a refurbished ship building yard and the designers did an excellent job of retaining some of that heritage. We were in a room on the 5th (top) floor but we immediately started to encounter some buid quality issues. The elevator was unreliable and it wasnt clear whether it registered the room key on the panel so we kept ending up on different floors with other guests and then returning to the ground floor. There were signs of wear and damage on the inside of the elevator and this continued into our room where the balcony door would not secure closed, one of the light switches kept falling off the wall and in the bathroom there were some very visible gaps between the floor and wall tiles with a void visible. The bed was comfortable enough for the night but the shower was a bit weaker than I would have liked and we only had two towels between us. We also ran out of loo roll by the end of the stay. My biggest issue was that we booked a room with a partial sea view. I accept it would be partial but it was not possible to see the Golden Horn at all from our room unless you hung quite far over the balcony rail. Our view was of the road outside and the building next door.

It was very nice except obe thing which is not providing free parking

only downside is the bip bip bip noise at 7:00 am coming from outside on a sunday morning. It kept beeping constantly for an hour or more.
